The Madison Christmas Committee, founded by the late Carmine Toto, Jr. and his wife Marie, has been bringing the holiday spirit to Madison, NJ, for over forty years. All their initiatives, including Santa’s Village, lighting for the tree on Waverly Place, wreaths and other downtown decor, and the Christmas Parade itself, which draws thousands of people to the downtown on Friday after Thanksgiving each year, have been solely funded by private donations and presented through endless hours of hard work by the committee volunteers. Year in and year out, the committee’s devotion is evident in the beauty of the downtown and the sparkle in children’s eyes – they bring the entire community a beautiful, nostalgic holiday celebration that is truly unique to Madison, NJ!
