Welcome to the Independent Thrift Shop, a non-profit organization raising money for worthwhile organizations supporting Madison and the surrounding area. The shop is located behind a dry-cleaning business, where there is a side entrance. We are staffed by all volunteers and all of the proceeds are donated to worthwhile charitable organizations such as: the Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross, Chatham Emergency Squad, Madison Volunteer Ambulance Squad, Community Soup Kitchen, Family Services of Morris, Jersey Battered Women’s Association, Library of the Chatham’s, Madison Community House, Madison YMCA Camp, The Salvation Army, The Seeing Eye Foundation and Autism Services.
Merchandise consists of household items, lamps, dishes, china, silver pieces, crystal, linens, jewelry, men’s clothing, women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, books, tapes, electronics, games, new gift items and an assortment of other items. Merchandise is accepted by donation on a regular basis.
